In this 14 minute discussion trigger taken from American Society of Bioethics and Humanities, Dr. Patricia Benner and Dr. Stone address the issues of improving interprofessional collaboration, and recommending early interprofessional education within the health care team. Mutual respect in the context of honoring the patient in the context of Civic Professionalism are discussed. Students will be able to bring their own experiences of teamwork, and strategies for improving health care teamwork to this discussion. The goal is to create an engaged, connected dialogue where active listening and building on one another’s contributions are practiced.
